DC Water Wizards

Two DC Water Wizards, Bruce Bradford and Gabrielle Faulcon, competed in the Diversity in Aquatics HBCU Celebration Short Course Yards Swim Meet held on Saturday, December 16, in Atlanta, Georgia. The theme of the meet illuminated the fact that there are 107 historically Black colleges and universities in the U.S., and currently only ONE of them (Howard University) has a swimming and diving program.

Participants at the meet included current students, alumni, and supporters of HBCUs. Bruce Bradford is an alum of Tennessee State University, and Gabrielle Faulcon is a supporter of HBCSs. Both Bradford and Faulcon won first place in each of the events they swam at the meet.
